Manuscript description

Al-Rawd Al-Nadi Sharh Al-Mubtada is a manuscript classified under the Hanbali jurisprudence. Written by: Al-Baali, Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Ahmed, who died in 1189 Hijiri. It was transcribed by Mahmoud Ibn Khatimi al-Najdi al-Hanbali in Damascus on 20 Sha’ban 1212 Hijiri, in a poor Al-Naskh font. The number of papers was 221, and the number of lines was 25, with a size: 20.5 × 15 cm. The manuscript begins with: (Praise be to God, who gave understanding of the religion to the one for whom he wanted the great good for, and the highest places for those whom he has guided to obey him... As for what follows, engaging in knowledge is one of the best deeds, especially the knowledge of what is permissible and what is forbidden...). And it ends with: ... And he shall be judged by the Islamic rules even if he is distinguished, or before his death, with the testimony that there is no god but Allah ... And God knows best and what is right, and to Him is the reference and the return.). It has traces of wetness and humidity, on the margins of which are some corrections. He wrote the explanation in black ink and the original text in red ink, and the scribe reported on his own that he emigrated from his hometown of Al-Zubayr to Damascus to seek knowledge in the year 1210 Hijiri.
