Manuscript description
(Interpretation of the Qur'an) is a manuscript classified under the science of interpretation. Its authors are Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Mahalli, who died in 864 AH, and Abdul Rahman bin Abi Bakr Al-Suyuti, who died in 911 AH. It was copied in the eleventh century hijri in the Naskh script. The number of papers was 364, and the number of lines was 21, with a size of 20 x 13 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: (Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds… This is what's most needed to complete the interpretation of the Qur'an which was written by the imam, the scholar, the investigator, Jalal Al-Din Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Mahalli) and the end of the manuscript: (not of those with anger on them) and they are the Jews {nor} (the misguided) and they are the Christians, and the point of substitution is a statement that the guided-ones are neither Jews nor Christians, Amen. This manuscript was written in black ink and the verses have red alert lines, with a commentary, the text is inside two red and blue tables, in the margins there are some corrections and the corresponding sign and the symbols of the Qur’an, including the letter (ع) which is indicated in the Qur’an of the semi-Indian continent that this place or close to it is a place of kneeling (Ruku). The first page has decoration and illumination, from Surah Al-Baqarah to the end of Surah Al Israa' is supplemented by Jalal Aldin Al-Suyuti and from Surah Al-Kahf to Surah Al Nas with Al-Fatiha, is the beginning of the interpretation of Jalal Al-Din Al-Mahalli, in its beginning and end there are stamps possessed in the name of (Abdul-Hakim Qandhari) dated 1132 AH, after the end of Al Suyuti part, the date of composition came to be determined by the day in the year 870 AH, and in the margin that Al Tabyed was in 871 AH.
