Mokhtasar Sahih Muslim (part 1) is a manuscript classified under the Science of the Hadith. It was written by Ibn Mesharraf, Ahmed bin Ali bin Hussein, who died in 1285 Hijiri. It was copied in Naskh script on Friday 25 Sha’ban 1240 Hijiri. The number of papers was 175, the number of lines was 25, and the size 30 x 21.5 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: (The Sheikh… Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ali bin Abi Al-Dhaif Al-Yamani, may God be pleased with him, told us, said that: I am the Sheikh… the Imam Abu Al-Rahman… Al-Nasa’y in Egypt. He said the interpretation of the saying of God Almighty (when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows) …. I am Qutayba bin Saeed….) and the end of the manuscript: (...and on the authority of Ibn Shihab that he said that Abu Hurairah used to narrate on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, according to their talk, and may God’s prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, Glory to God! He is free from the things they ascribe to Him! and Peace on the Messengers, Praise be to Allah, Lord of all creation). On the title paper there is of the author’s endowment for this copy and his seal, this copy joined the books of Sheikh Abdullah bin Omar bin Dahish, and then to Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Latif. Black ink was used in writing, and what is intended to be distinguished was written in red and yellow, and the date of transcription is written on the second part of it.
