Manuscript Description:

Al-Hidaya (Part 2) in Hanbali Fiqh by its author, Al-Kolthani, Mahfouz bin Ahmed bin Al-Hassan, who died in 510AH. copied it in Naskh font on Saturday, 29 Rabi’ al-akher 1347 AH. The number of papers was 180 sheets, the number of lines was 23, and the size was 21 × 17 cm. Beginning of the manuscript: (The Book of Marriage, Chapter on the Introductions to Marriage. Marriage is obligatory if he fears for himself from fornication. If he is not afraid, then there are two narrations, one of them must...) End of the manuscript: (... The chapter on dividing the copies into numbers, that is to divide the right issues .. on the number of dirhams... It also simplified the ascribed virtue as well, and then its percentage from that, as we have shown, at the end of the book.) The first is an index of the chapters of the book, and the last of it is a translation of the author. The writing came on lined modern paper. Black ink was used in writing, and what is to be distinguished was written in red. It was bound on modern paper. It was quoted that Transcriber copied this manuscript from an antique copy written in Dhul-Qa’dah 703AH. Transcriber has taken from this copy, from which he copied, and did not mention its place. A paper from the beginning of it containing verses praising the book affixed on the cover of this copy!!
