The Biography of Omar bin Abdul Aziz is a manuscript classified within the science of translation by its author, Abi Abdullah Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Hakam, who died in the year 268 AH. It was copied by Suleiman bin Samhan in the Naskh script in Dhul-Hijjah 1305 AH. The number of sheets was 47, and the number of lines was 21, with a size of 21 x 15 cm. The manuscript begins with: (Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hakam told me... and other scholars who did not name all of what is in this book of the biography of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz as it was named, drawn, and explained, and each of them told me a sect...). And it ends with: (Omar bin Abdul-Aziz said, “Learn knowledge, as it is adorable for the young and aid for the poor. I do not say that he seeks it, but it calls him to contentment.”) It has to stop Imam Abdullah bin Faisal, and its paper is quick to break, written in black ink.
