Manuscript Description:
Sunan (second edition) is a manuscript classified under the Science of the Hadith. It was written by Al-Nisa'y Ahmed bin Ali bin Shuaib, who died in 303 Hijiri. It was copied by Mahdi bin Mohammed Al-Mahli in Naskh script in 1044 Hijiri in Adas near Zabid. The number of papers was 255, the number of lines was 37, and the size 27 x 17.5 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: (The Sheikh… Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ali bin Abi Al-Dhaif Al-Yamani, may God be pleased with him, told us, said that: I am the Sheikh… the Imam Abu Al-Rahman… Al-Nasa’y in Egypt. He said the interpretation of the saying of God Almighty (when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows) …. I am Qutayba bin Saeed….) and the end of the manuscript: (... Muhammad bin Bashar told us ... that when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out of his house, he would say: "O Allah! I seek refuge in Thee lest I stray or be led astray, or slip or made to slip, or cause injustice, or suffer injustice, or do wrong, or have wrong done to me."). And this is a complete copy in three parts, copied from a very authentic copy documented by narration and hearing, as it was corresponded to on its original, the transcriber transmitted the footnotes and comments on the original. This copy was written by the drawing of Al-Hussein bin Al-Mansour Bellah Al-Qasim bin Muhammad. At the time of writing the copy, he was preoccupied with his battles against Turk, and the transcriber put verses in his praise at the end of the copy, and he wrote in his handwriting his ownership of this copy and then after him his son Yahya owns by inheritance from his father, then Yahya bin Salih Al-Sohouli took possession, Ismail bin Abbas bin Ismail dated 1215 and Al-Hussein bin Khali Al-Hazmi owned it on 1220. It has traces of earth. Black ink was used in writing, and the headings of the chapter were in red ink.
