Al-Ansab

Manuscript Description:

Al-Ansab is a manuscript in Translations. It was written by Abi Saeed Abdul Karim bin Muhammad Al-Tamimi Al-Samani, who died in 562 AH and was copied in the Naskh script on the 10th Century Hijiri. The number of papers was 328, and the number of lines was 25, with a size of 24.5 x 17 cm. the beginning of the manuscript is as follows: “Al-Wasiti, in Baghdad, Abu al-Qasim Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Baghawi, and in Mecca, al-Mufaddal bin Muhammad al-Jundi… Al-Estidad is pronounced with the addition of the ḍammah on letter أ, and the addition of Sukūn on the neglected letter س, the addition of the ḍammah on letter ة, the addition of Sukūn on the foreign letter غ, and أ between the two د …", and the ending: “...Al-Khayrani is pronounced with the Fatha on the letter خ, the addition of Sukūn on the letter ب with two dots below… Abu Bakr al-Khatib al-Hafiz said: I asked Ibn Touq about his birth, and he said in the year three hundred and eighty-two, and he died in Mosul-...”. A good copy, starts with the verb ‘Saqat’ and ends at the chapter of Al-Kha with Al-Yaa, bearing the seal of Muhammad bin Faisal Al Saud in Shawwal 1278 AH. The copy is endowed, and its endowment is not indicated. Perhaps it is endowed to Muhammad bin Faisal. It bears the handwriting of Sheikh Othman bin Mansour, and it appears that it was his. Black ink was used in writing and the heads of the chapters were in red.
