Al-Hamawayah

Manuscript Description:

Al-Hamawayah is a manuscript classified under the science of creed. It was written by Ibn Taymiyyah, Ahmed bin Abdul Halim bin Abdul Salam, who died in 728 AH. It was reproduced using naskh on the 13th century Hijiri. The number of papers: 28 paper, size: 14 x 19 cm, and the number of lines reached 19-21 lines. The manuscript begins with: (The Sheikh of Islam was asked... and the questioner said: What do the jurists, the imams of the religion say about the verses of the Attributes, such as the Almighty’s saying, “Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne” and His saying “Then He established?” He replied, “Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, our opinion on this matter is as what Allah’s and His Messenger..) and ends with: (And he knew that whoever sought guidance in something other than the Qura’n and the Sunnah will not be got anything but labyrinth, so we ask Almighty Allah to guide us to His straight path, the path of those He bestowed upon them mercy, not of those whom he’s angry with nor of those who go astray, Amen. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and his blessings and peace be upon Muhammad, the last prophet, and all his family and companions.) There are corrections on its margin, and it shows traces of light wetness, there are an endowment seal of Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Latif at the beginning of it. Black ink was used in writing.
