Al-Masbah
Manuscript Description:
Al-Masbah is a manuscript classified under the sciences of hadith. Written by Al-Baghawi, Al-Hussein bin Masoud bin Muhammad, who died in the year 510 Hijiri. It was transcribed in Al-Naskh font script in the seventh century AH. The number of papers is 235, and the number of lines is 21, measuring 30 x 22.5 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: (Praise be to Allah, and peace be upon His servants whom He has chosen... As for what follows, these are words that were said from the beginning of the prophecy, and Sunnahs that were transmitted from the essence of the message...) and the end of the manuscript is: (... From Al-Hassan on the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: My nation is like rain, its beginning and its end are not known.) It is an antique copy, its letters are mixed, at its beginning there is a permit according to the narration of the book and other books by Ramadan bin Abdullah, and the authorizer is Muhammad bin Muhammad al-Aqouli, the scholar of Baghdad in his time (date 797 AH) see (Al-Alam 7/43), and the permit is dated on Shawwal 8, 771 AH. There are explanations and corrections on its margins, the font of the last of them differed from the first, the last paper was lost and was completed with a modern font, its corroded edges were restored, black ink was used in writing, and the heads of the sections and chapters were marked with broad black ink. It was owned by Ahmed bin Youssef Al-Basri, dated 1157 AH, and owned by Issa bin Zaid al-Zayd, dated 1287 AH, and owned by Muhammad bin Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh, and other properties were obliterated.
