Al-Nafae’
Manuscript Description:
Al-Nafae’ is a manuscript classified within Hanbali Fiqh. It was written by Muhammad bin Yusuf Al-Samarqandi Al-Husseini Al-Madani, who died in 556 AH. It was copied by Dhul-Nun bin Omar bin Ibrahim bin Ali bin Hamdan on the 20th of Dhul-Hijjah 769 AH. The number of papers was 233 sheets, the number of lines was 13, and the size was 26.5 × 18 cm. Beginning of the manuscript: (Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, a praise that lasts for eternity, and whose number cannot be counted by the number... You asked me to write for you a useful book on jurisprudence, and for all that is needed in accidents... The Book of Purifications...). End of the manuscript: (... The closest relatives are sons because they are its parts and their sons, then the father and grandfather because it is the origin... Doubt occurred over what increased to six, and that was two shares, then half, so he had one-fifth out of twelve, and the son had seven out of twelve, and God knows best.) This is a precious copy, the first of which is an index to chapters of book, and on its first pages are some explanations, with traces of wetness, and on the last page there are birth record for one of the possessors. In writing, black ink was used, and red was used as lines above what was to be distinguished.
