Manuscript Description:

Al-Qawa’d Wa Tahreer Al-Fawa’ed is a manuscript classified under Hanbali jurisprudence. It was written by Ibn Rajab, Abdul Rahman bin Ahmed bin Rajab, who died in 795 AH. It was reproduced using Naskh Mujawad; on Sunday night, Rabi` al-Akhir 17, 861 AH. The number of papers: 264 paper, size: 17.5 x 26.5 cm, and the number of lines reached 25 lines. The manuscript begins with: (Praise be to Allah, who paved foundations by his precise book, and built knowledge with his discourse and made it the wisest... these are important rules and great benefits that set the foundations of any madhhab for the jurist.....) and ends with: (It is as if he embraced Islam after a mother and a daughter with whom he did not consummate the marriage, for it proves the marriage of the girl without the mother, and Allah knows best. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions..) A precious copy, bearing several possession seals, including the seal of Abdul Qadir bin Muhammad al-Qarafi in 887 AH, the seal of Muhammad bin Ahmed al-Homsi al-Hanbali in 920, the seal of Ali bin Abdullah Al-Ashry, an endowment of his mother dated 1247 AH, and a seal of Musa bin Mansour bin Melhem. Black ink was used in writing, and what is to be distinguished was written in red, followed by three different papers.
