Manuscript Description:
Alburhan fi Haqiqat Al-Quran is a manuscript classified under the sciences of belief (Al-Aqidah) by its author, Ibn Qudamah, Abdullah bin Ahmed, who died in the year 620 Hijiri. It was transcribed in the seventh century Hijiri. The number of papers was 60, and the number of lines was 9, measuring 18.9 x 14.3 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: (Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may God’s peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, the chosen one and his family... The doctrine of Ahlus-Sunnah wa Al-Jama’ah, which the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and his companions and followers had followed.. That the Qur’an is God’s ancient word and its solid rope that we should hold on to ...) And the end of the manuscript: (... May God make us and you among his favorite people, and may he strength our belief in Islam and the Sunnah doctrine in its saying, contract and actions. It is done. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may God’s peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, the Prophet and his pure family.). It is a precious, antique copy, its transcriber has done a perfect job, and perhaps he is one of the scholars. It is corresponding to the original and its letters are correct. It has several properties. It was owned by Abdullah bin Abd al-Rahman al-Maqdisi, then by Hajj Muhammad bin Sultan, then by Jibril bin Muhammad al-Ruqani, and by Aladdin Ibn Qudamah, dated 1030 AH. and by Muhammad Salih, dated 1282 AH, followed by 11 papers including several sayings and benefits in the handwriting of the transcriber himself, from which it is understood that he was a student of Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Yunini al-Muhaddith (date 658 AH), who used black ink in writing.
