Explanation of the Millennium in Usul al-Fiqh
Manuscript Description:
Sharh al-Alfiya fi Usul al-Fiqh is a manuscript written by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Daim ibn Musa al-Barmawi, who died in 831 Hijri. It was transcribed by Yusuf bin Khader al-Buhairi using Al-Naskh font, on the 6th of Rajab of the year 886 Hijri. The number of papers was 352; the number of lines was 31, in size: 25.5 x 17.5 cm. The manuscript begins with: (And he protected his nation from mistakes, so whoever deviated from them took a road of misguidance and foolishness... This is a blessed explanation on my auspiciousness which is called the Millennium Synthesis in the Jurisprudence principles) and it ended with (... Some of those who prefer to be on the safe side said that he who is afflicted with obsession, doubt, despair, it is better to take it with the lightest ... God suffices us and He is the best Guardian over all things, and may God's peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions.) It is considered a precious edition, that had a cut from the first paper above, so the first lines were lost, the author’s blank in the year 829 Hijri in Mecca Al-Mosharafa, it has traces of wetness and dirt, and it is an explanation of the author’s sketches in which the book of the sea by al-Zarkashi was summarized. The possessions serial on it was erased. He used black and red ink in writing.
