Manuscript Description:

Tuhfat al-Ashraf bi Ma’rifat al-Tarraj is a manuscript classified within the sciences of hadith. Written by: Al-Hafiz Al-Mazi, Yusuf bin Abdul Rahman bin Yusuf, who died in 742 AH. It was copied in the thirteenth century AH in Naskh script. The number of sheets reached 186 sheets, and the number of lines was 33, size: 30 x 21.5 cm. The manuscript begins with: (Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and I bear witness that there is no god but God, alone without partner, the God of the first and the last... As for what follows, I have resolved to gather in this book, God willing, the six books that are the pillars of the people of Islam...) And it ends with: (...Ata bin Yazid, Abu Zaid Al-Laithi...on the authority of Abdullah bin Yusuf on the authority of Al-Haytham bin Hamid on the authority of Abi Saeed, both on the authority of Al-Zuhri with it endowed. Quoting in it on the authority of Dhaim on the authority of Al-Fariabi on the authority of Al-Awza’I, Ben Yasar). It is considered a good copy that includes the first part of the book, and it bears the endowment of Imam Abdullah bin Faisal, and possesses obliterated, and the first of which is the author’s translation transferred from the preservation ticket to Al-Dhahabi, and the scribe proved what was found on the margins of the copy from which he was transferred from minor explanations and comments, the writing was done using black ink, and what It is intended to distinguish books in red, and its binding is new.
